That’s a question we get asked often!  A compounded prescription is a unique blend of ingredients combined to meet individual patient needs. Compounding is the creation of a customized formula, under guidance of a licensed pharmacist, to meet the individual  needs of a human or animal patient when a commercially available medication does not meet those needs. Compounding is an excellent choice for patients who have allergies to common fillers in mass produced medications, or who need a custom strength or dosage form.

Our accredited lab allows us to compound both sterile and non-sterile medications. Compounded medications are not commercially available due to their unique blend of ingredients and must be custom formulated by a compounding pharmacy such as ours. This can be a very personal journey for patients. Compounding offers providers a vast range of additional therapeutic options.
